| In 1999, by utilizing their previous experience in the food service business, Anthony Scotti and his mom, Julie Scotti, established Scotti’s in Maryland Heights, Missouri. This mother and son team oversees the daily operation of food service and marketing to the Metropolitan St. Louis area. Wednesday, 5/13/2009 FOOD & WINE Scotti's Deli Going Strong for 10 Years Nowadays, a restaurant making it one year is cause for celebration. Ten years, and the restaurant should be inducted in some kind of restaurant hall of fame. If such a longevity award existed, we’d nominate Scotti’s Deli and Catering, because Friday marks the 10th year that the small, family-run Maryland Heights deli has delivered box lunches to hungry office workers and catered corporate events. To celebrate, Scotti’s will host an open house on Friday with drinks, appetizers and giveaways. The mother-son team of Tony and Julie Scotti used their experience in the food-service business to start the company, filling a need in an area overrun with corporate offices. Workers unable to break the chain order delivery of Scotti’s famous house-made chicken salad, Philly cheese steak sandwiches and subs with Scotti ‘s special sauce. This year, Scotti’s expanded its dine-in area for outside-the-cubicle lunchers. Either way, it sure beats the bologna sandwich from home. And nothing beats 10 years in business!

Courtesy of Fox 2 News St. Louis My Neighborhood – Maryland Heights Got Hunger? Try Scotti's Deli - Nicole Songstad June, 2009 Just off of Dorsett Road in Maryland Heights, Scotti's Deli is serving up hearty sandwiches and family recipe salads. Among the plethora of sandwiches available, the Veggie Chicken Wrap and Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich stun the taste buds with a healthy dose of flavor. Scotti's Deli offers cold and hot sandwiches as well as popular chips and healthy salads. Even though their sandwiches are to die for, the desserts ranging from delicious cookies to delectable cakes could be considered murder to the tongue. But perhaps even more intriguing is how Scotti's Deli came to be.
In 1999, Anthony Scotti and his mother, Julie, opened Scotti's Deli in Maryland Heights, Missouri. They put their previous experience in the food business to use by opening this box lunch, catering, and sit-down delicatessen. After leasing available office space, Anthony and Julie, along with helping hands, converted an office suite into a family-owned deli and catering business. Although the conversion was difficult, the work paid off since Scotti's Deli serves more than 1,700 returning customers. Scotti's friendly atmosphere, fast service, and tasty sandwiches, salads, and desserts draw in the hungry patron. Included in their menu are choices ranging from vegetarian wraps to meat lovers' sandwiches, homemade potato salad to (secret ingredient) pasta salad, and cookies to raspberry layer cake.
And not only is this family-owned deli in a convenient location at #40 Worthington Access Maryland Heights close to Westport Plaza and Fee Fee Road, but Scotti's Deli is also impeccably organized and sanitary. The kitchen sparkles and shines, the warehouse hosts orderly storage space, and the dining area allows adequate access in and out of the deli. So if you're looking for a friendly place to eat, cater your next party, or order a box lunch, Scotti's Deli is the place to call. Scotti's serves Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 1:30pm, caters for parties and corporate events, and delivers. Call 314-439-5923 or fax your order to 314-439-5924.
